The integers -5 and 6 are shown on a number line. What is the distance between them?
A number or a short expression. Fractions can be typed as 3/2, and spacing doesn't matter.
Solution
The distance between two numbers on the number line is equal to their positive difference. Here, this distance is 6−(−5)=11.
