Algebra Difficulty 4.6 AIME Find the answer
Let m∘n=(m+n)/(mn+4). Compute ((⋯((2005∘2004)∘2003)∘⋯∘1)∘0).
A number or a short expression. Fractions can be typed as 3/2, and spacing doesn't matter.
Solution
Note that m∘2=(m+2)/(2m+4)=21, so the quantity we wish to find is just (21∘1)∘0=31∘0=1/12.
