What is the value of (3x+2y)−(3x−2y) when x=−2 and y=−1?
A number or a short expression. Fractions can be typed as 3/2, and spacing doesn't matter.
Solution
The expression (3x+2y)−(3x−2y) is equal to 3x+2y−3x+2y which equals 4y. When x=−2 and y=−1, this equals 4(−1) or −4.
