Given positive integers aa, bb, cc, dd such that a<b<c<da < b < c < d. Is it possible for the least common multiple of aa and bb to be greater than the least common multiple of cc and dd?

Solution

Let a=8a = 8, b=9b = 9, then [a;b]=72[a; b] = 72. We will choose the other two numbers such that [c;d]=50[c; d] = 50: c=10c = 10, d=25d = 25.
